Peer-Review Submission System

Authors should submit their manuscripts via the journal’s peer review submission management system at https://ter-j.com/article-submission/.

Manuscript Template

For submission, authors should prepare their papers according to the template available at https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/paper-format/professional-annotated.pdf.

Manuscript Preparation

  • Font and Size: Use a legible font such as Times New Roman, 12-point size.

  • Margins: Set 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins on all sides.

  • Line Spacing: Double-space throughout the manuscript, including the reference list.

  • Indentation: Use a 0.5-inch (1.27 cm) hanging indent for each entry in the reference list.

  • Alignment: Align text to the left; references should not be justified.

2.Title Page

The title page is the first page of your article and should contain the following information.

  • The title of the article

  • First and last name of the author(s).

  • Name of the institution to which the author(s) belong(s) (university, department, faculty, etc.).

  • Contact information (e-mail address, telephone number, etc.).

  • A running head

  • The page numbers are in the upper right corner.

3.Abstract

The abstract appears on the second page of the manuscript and should generally be between 200 and 250 words. It should provide a brief description of the study’s purpose, importance, methodology, primary results, and conclusions. After the abstract, 3–5 keywords should be added.

4. References

Trends in Educational Research (TER journal) strictly adheres to the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition Reference Style for all submitted manuscripts. Authors must format their citations and references according to these guidelines to ensure consistency and clarity in scholarly communication. Below is a detailed guide to help you prepare your manuscript for submission.

5. In-Text Citations

APA uses the author-date citation system.

a. Parenthetical Citation Format

  • Example: (Smith, 2020)

b. Narrative Citation Format

  • Example: According to Smith (2020)…

c. Multiple Authors

  • Two authors: Use an ampersand (&) in parenthetical citations.

    • Example: (Smith & Jones, 2021)

  • Three or more authors: Cite only the first author followed by “et al.”

    • Example: (Taylor et al., 2019)

d. Multiple Sources in One Citation

  • Separate sources with semicolons.

    • Example: (Brown, 2018; Green & White, 2020)

e. Direct Quotations

Include the page number.

  • Example: (Smith, 2020, p. 15)
